Trevor has written or co-authored more than fifteen books for children aged 8 to 13 and more than twenty titles for educational, young adult and family reference markets.
Youch! (Templar, Simon and Schuster, and Heinemann) received excellent reviews and was shortlisted for the English 4–11 Picture Book Awards in 2000 and won several awards in the United States. The Incredible Journey to the Centre of the Atom (Kingfisher) was shortlisted for the 1997 Rhone-Poulenc Junior Science Prize and has been translated into ten languages, as have many of his more recent books, including Dorling Kindersley’s Guide to Savage Earth.
In 2006, Trevor wrote Lakes and Rivers, Oceans, and Taiga (Facts On File, US), three books in a ten-book series alongside the distinguished writers Michael Allaby and Peter Moore. Positively Healthy (The Chalkface Project, UK) – a teaching resource for schools and colleges – is a bestseller in the UK and has been continuously in print in various forms since 1987.
